INTRODUCTION OF THE CFIN ACCELERATED CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME (CACP)

OUR PLAN
Your Council, following the passage of the Constitutional amendments by the National Assembly, has decided to urgently embark on a new programme meant to rapidly train and certify cyber security, digital and computer forensics experts to meet Nigeria’s needs in preparation for the imminent following the imminent passage of the Bill to Amend the Evidence Act and to meet the security needs of 2011 (e-voting) elections.

The programme, CFIN ACCELERATED CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME (CACP), will have the following features:

TYPE:               BootCamp (Intensive)
DURATION:     6 days (Monday-Saturday or Special Session of Three week-ends of Friday-Saturday)
                        Plus 1 day practical testing.
COURSES:       Eight (8 Core Courses)

1	Nature, Scope and Legal Framework of Digital, Computer and Cyber Crime
2	Cyber Security, Digital and Computer Forensics
3	Biometrics and Hand-writing Analysis for Forensics
4	Data Recovery: Tools and Techniques
5	Cryptology: Encryption/Decryption Systems
6	Cyber Security Issues: Case Studies
7	Evidence Reporting and Presentation
8	Digital, Cyber Security and Computer Forensics as a Profession

	1 Day Practical Examination/Testing
	* Forensics Examination of three (3) Test Media Emphasis will be placed on: - Resolution of technical issues - Sound evidence handling procedure - Recovering evidentiary data - Storage procedure - Sound examination procedure The purpose is to test the forensics knowledge and skills of the candidate.
